I took Megan and my mother last Sunday to the Nutcracker Ballet. It was performed by the Columbia City Ballet at the Kroger Center in Columbia, South Carolina. The performance was wonderful. This is the third year that I have taken Megan and she loves it each time we see the ballet. I dress her up in a fancy dress, similar to the party costumes that is in the first act. She then puts on her ballet shoes and off we go. During intermission we usually walk around and she spins and twirls like she is on stage. At the end of the ballet, you get to meet the perfomers and they will sign your programs. Megan got to meet one of the peppermint twists, her favorite, along with the Sugar Plum Fairy. I think one of Megan's dreams is to dance the part of the Sugar Plum Fairy. I told her if she works hard enough, then maybe her dream will come true.
