Christmas Day
I am watching my two sleeping children. The house is quiet. Even the cats are sound asleep. Everyone is exhausted after such a busy day. We got up around 8:30 this morning. I walked with Megan and Will into the den where the Christmas tree was. The first thing that Will did was walk past the tree to David and ask for a snack. Well, I guess he wasn't concerned about what Santa had left him. Megan just stood back and looked around with awe. She didn't say much, just looked at her doll bed and doll wardrobe. She finally found the Littlest Pet Shop set and pulled that out. Santa had also hidden books and some coloring things around and under the tree. That took her about half the morning to find them all. Will finally noticed his Hess truck and Little People tractor and trailer and started to play with them. By the end of the morning there were boxes, wrapping paper, assorted toys, clothes, books, videos and candy all over the great room and kitchen. You couldn't even walk through the stuff. I think that we definitely got too much for Christmas. Megan, David, Judy and Stephanie had all finished opening their presents. Will still had a pile of presents left to open under the tree. Finally, at about 6:00 pm Megan and I just opened everything for him. He was too busy playing with all of his new toys to worry about boxes covered with wrapping paper!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
