Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom - Day 2

Today is Day 2 of our Disney vacation and I am really excited. OK, so I was really excited yesterday, but today we get to have lunch with the princesses (insert school girl scream here)! Yes, I know that I should not care about having lunch with princesses but here is my chance to be a princess for just a few hours. Give me a break!

The start of our day was great. Will was very excited about riding in the Monorail again. We made sure that he sat at the window so he can look out and see the buildings go by. We asked Megan and Will what they wanted to do today. The both wanted to ride on the teacups again. So after meeting Ariel at her grotto, which was really cool, we headed over to the teacup ride. David consented on getting in the teacups, but he would only ride with Megan and Will spinning the car, not me. He gets motion sickness very easily. Megan and Will spun the teacup as fast as they could, which wasn't that fast. He didn't really get sick, he just likes to look like he did!

On our way to the castle for lunch we stopped by to see Lady Tramaine and the Ugly Stepsisters, Anastasia and Drizella. They were the best characters we had ever seen. They were yelling at people to get off their furniture (in reality little stone benches), they stuck out their tongues and preened and prissed around just as you would think how the ugly stepsisters would act. When Megan and Will's turn came, Lady Tramaine grabbed Megan and demaned to know who had sewn her dress. "It is handmade and beaded. My Drizella would love to have a gown like this." Drizella came over to look and then they asked Megan to twirl around. Drizella showed her how to twirl around and Megan followed her lead. It was really funny to watch. Anastasia got Will and gave him a hug. She asked if he would be her prince and marry her when he grew up. He nodded his head yes. Later in the afternoon, we were watching a parade and Lady Tramaine and the stepsisters were in it. They saw Megan and Will on the sidelines, came over and talked with them, then went on with the parade. That was really cool.
After our visit with Cinderella's step family, we went to the castle to have lunch with her and the princesses. Megan and Will had their picture made with Cinderella. Will had a moment, because he was hungry, and did not want his picture taken with her, but I held him and we had it made. We were shown to our table and given menus. The food was fabulous! Everyone enjoyed their main dish and we even were served dessert! Megan and Will had ice cream sundaes. If you know Will he loves chocolate. He ate his chocolate crown within 30 seconds. During lunch, each princess was introduced and started coming around to each table. They took their time with each child, talked with them, signed their autograph books, and posed for a picture. Megan had drawn a picture for Aurora. When the princess came to the table, Megan handed it too her. Aurora treated it like a true work of art. She asked if she could hang it on her castle wall. When she left our table, she took the drawing in the back, before moving on to the next table. It showed Megan that she really loved the drawing.
In honor of dining with the princesses, Stephanie wore one of Megan's tiaras. All of the Disney cast members called her "Your Highness," or "Your Majesty" throughout the entire day. Now why didn't I think about wearing a crown for the day?

The rest of the day was spent in riding rides and seeing shows. Unfortunately, it started to rain. We got ponchos and sloshed through the wetness. Megan, David and I rode Thunder Mountain Railroad in a downpour. It was fun. Will and Stephanie went to the Bear Country Jamboree and rode Aladdin's magic carpets. We all went to see the Tikki Room show and Pirates of the Caribbean. We went back to Toon Town and saw Mickie and Minnie Mouse and the Disney Fairies. Will wanted to ride on Goofy's barnstorming again, so we did. The last thing we did that evening was ride the Astro Orbiter in Tomorrowland. By this time it was raining so hard that it took the crew at least 10 minutes to check and see if everyone is buckled in. We were sitting in water, our clothes were soaked and we were getting cold. The amazing thing about all of this is that my children did not complain. Not one sound. They were having too much fun!
