Happy Valentine's Day everyone! We are still excited about the snow we got Friday (although now it is almost all gone). I took the opportunity to make Will's picture yesterday before the snow melted. I thought it would be nice to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day with a memento of our snow. We have not done much today, just the usual slow Sunday. I did give Megan and Will their Valentine's surprises this morning. They each got a small box of chocolates (Will's favorite), a book and a
Max and Ruby DVD. Megan also got a small box of candy hearts (her favorite). I made cute heart shaped muffins for breakfast, which everyone loved. As an added bonus I tried my hand at making iced heart shaped cookies. I used the Lemon Butter Cookie recipe out of the February 2010 issue of
Southern Living Magazine. After the cookies cooled I used the icing glaze recipe to dip the cookies in then decorate with sprinkles. They were really good and were a big hit with the children.
