Valentine's Day School Gifts

A long with Valentine's Day cards Megan and Will's gave small gifts to their school friends. I decided to do a homemade rainbow heart crayon. We had made swirled crayons last year as an art project and I thought that I might try them again this year for each goody bag. We took all of the old crayons that were broken, peeled off the paper and placed them in a tray. Unfortunately, I did not make sure that this tray was oven safe and it melted a little, not too badly though. I tried to put a color range from light to dark in each heart so you can really see the swirl pattern when the crayons melted together.

After the crayons melted, I let them harden, then popped them out of the tray. I found some cute heart shaped notebooks at Target and placed each one in a bag along with a fruit roll-up. Viola!
