"Let the good times roll!" I am not a Louisiana native, but I do enjoy wearing beads and eating king cake. I made my king cakes for Megan and Will's class. It seems that everyone at St. Andrews remembers the king cake and looks forward to when we bring them. Even some of the children in Megan's class was excited about the king cake. They had it last year and really enjoyed it. It is time consuming to make but well worth it.
I got out the mardi gras beads so that they can wear them to school. Megan wore hers but Will just had his on for the picture. He decided that he didn't want them although a few minutes later Buck seemed to have acquired some festive decorations, hehehe!
