Snowman Wallhanging
My quilt guild had a mini-project for our January meeting and I just finished it. We made snowball blocks and then could embellish the blocks anyway we chose. I made three snow people, two boys and one girl. I embroidered their mouths and appliqued on their noses and cheeks. The girl snow person I used blush for her cheeks then sprayed a little hairspray to make sure the blush stays in place. Of course being in the South she needed a great big hair bow. Instead of the usually cotton bias binding I used grosgrain ribbon that matched the girl snow person's nose. The snow flakes are sequins that I found a couple of years ago at Hancock fabrics while searching for embellishments for Megan's quilt. I think that the wall hanging turned out really nice and I cannot wait to use it next year!
