Megan Lost Her Tooth
While driving to Charleston this afternoon I heard a squeal of excitement. "Mama, my tooth fell out! See it Mama. Look at it! Look, Will, see my tooth."
"Megan please do not give Will your tooth." I say, seeing him reaching for it, swallowing it, then I having to do things no human being should ever have to do to get it back.
"Mama see my tooth. The tooth fairy is coming tonight isn't she?" Megan asks.
"Yes, Megan she is. Please hold your tooth until we can stop." I am trying to find the Handcock Fabric store but am slightly lost. Am thinking of giving up and heading to the Target.
Silence for a while then a horrified cry. "Mama, my tooth fell. Where did it go? Help me find it." As usual Megan is panicking.
"Megan, when I park I will help you find it. Please be still so it will not get lost further." I say as I do a U-turn. Target it is! We drive for a few minutes then park in the parking lot. I come over to her side of the car. She has already gotten out of her seat (those darn booster seats, too convient!) and is looking for the tooth. Thankfully she found it. I now put it safely in my pocketbook. It should keep until the tooth fairy comes tonight. Now, all we have to do is get through Target intact and head home. What an adventursome afternoon.
