Leaf Prints
While we were at the cabin an activity that I tried with Megan and Will was leaf prints. On some of our walks I gave each child a plastic bag with instructions to pick up the prettiest leaves that they could find. Later that evening we got out the filled bags, blank paper, and some crayons that I had saved from several resturants. We placed a leaf under the blank paper then lightly colored over the top of the leaf. Will thought that the bright blue and red leaves appearing on the page was fantastic! Megan was pretty excited about the prints too. She did several that night, then again each morning until we left. This is a great project for preschoolers.
