Lazy Summer Days
My father found our old tire swing and cleaned it up. He put up the tire swing in the backyard yesterday. With the fishing trip and nap time, Megan and Will were unable to play on the swing. This morning after breakfast we all went out in the back yard and taught them how to swing on it. Megan, of course is my cautious one. She had to figure how to wiggle and stay on the swing as it went really high, but she got the hang of it and away she went. Will was not as daring in swinging as high as Megan did. He just wanted to go a little high. Poppaw or I would take turns pushing them both. They had a really great time.
Will loves to play with toy trucks. Here he got out all of the trucks that he could find. He then decided that it would be fun to race them across the bench and let them crash to the ground. There were a lot of trucks needing to be repaired.
One afternoon Will picked up the water hose. It was on. He did not realize it and he pressed the nozzle hand down. Well that squirted water out into the yard. He decided that was a great idea then aimed the water hose at Megan. She squealed, thus starting the water hose chase game. They ran around the backyard chasing each other with the hose and getting their clothes soaking wet. Since it was a really hot and humid day, I didn't say a word, just watched. They had a blast!
