Magnolia, Arkansas

So we are now in Magnolia, Arkansas. Here is a picture of the courthouse on the square.  The courthouse is in the center of the square with the road running around it.  They have wonderful little shops around the square that you can go and shop at.  I cannot wait until school is in session to have a look at the stores.

It took us about two weeks after my surgery and moving to get everyone together again, but we did it!  My mother and I drove to Magnolia about a week and a half after my surgery.  I was so excited to be able to drive!  I know a lot of people are probably able to drive after a couple of days from gallbladder surgery, but not me!  I wanted to wait to make sure that I did not do any more damage.  I really don't like being sick and unable to take care of my self.  My mother stayed for about 1 week to help with the unpacking and cleaning.  She worked really hard.  Mama cleaned every cabinet and closet in the house while I started to unpack boxes and put things away.  She even had to help move boxes around for me since I could not lift heavy things.  By the time she left she decided that she needed a vacation because of all the work she had done.

During  the time that Mama and I were in unpacking boxes, Megan and Will were in Oxford at VBS at Gigi's church.  Gigi took off work the entire week to play with them.  I heard that they really have a great time and did a lot of swimming.  Although there were little rumblings that Will was a little more difficult that Megan.  He can be a handful, especially when he uses logic to get his point across.  For example, Gigi wanted him to pick up his Legos off the floor so that she can vacuum.  He didn't want to.  She said that at her house the vacuum will suck up the Legos and he would not have them anymore.  He told her that he would just go to Lego.com and order replacement Legos!  How can you argue with him when he logically states his argument?
This is our house in Magnolia.  We have a 6 bedroom, 2.5 bath house.  Now before you say "Six bedrooms!" just remember that we have lost our basement (my craft room) and the extra room of the Master Bedroom (the office).  There is a bedroom and half bath off of the kitdchen, that will be my craft room.  Then we have a kitchen, a kiving room/dinning room combo, and then a den.  On the other side of the door we have five bedrooms, a guest room, Megan's room, Will's room, an office, then the Master bedroom.  We have a Master bath attached off of the Master bedroom and then the second bath in across from the office.  It is a really nice house, very quiet.  So much quieter than the other house.  At times I do miss the noise.  I liked hearing cat paws pad across the hardwood floor in the bedroom upstairs while I was in the kitchen downstairs.  I also like to hear Megan and Will run across the top floor sounding like a herd of elephants!  I always knew where they were.  In this house I have to go and hunt for them.  Once I finish unpacking I will start painting.  The majority of the house is neutral beige.  I need some color!

Magnolia has a State Park about 15 mintues down the road from town.  Next month Megan and Will will have a summer camp at the park.  They are really excited to go!  From my understanding they will have a craft, learn about Arkansas animals and plants, go on nature hikes, get to play in the stream and maybe fish in the lake.  Sounds really exciting to me.
