New Year's Resolutions 2012

So it is now 2012.  Time to revisit those New Year's resolutions from 2011.  Hmmm.... did I write them down?  Ahh...yes!  I dowloaded an app to keep track of my resolutions.  Here is a list of what I resolved to do last year and the corresponding results.
  • Loose weight - hmm, does losing 6 lbs while in Germany count?  I would say yes!  We will not discuss the extra 5 lbs added to last years total.
  • Exercise regularly and get fit - yes I did do that. Sort of. I started in January and went to the YMCA twice a week (which is great for me).  This lasted until the end of April.  I took May through December off with a few scattered trips in between.
  • I will finish at least two quilt projects - Nope that one was not checked off at all!
  • I will make Megan at least one heirloom dress - Yes I did make her an Easter dress.  She wore the dress for Easter, but I did not finish the hand embroidery.  Currently working on it.
  • I will keep my blog updated - Hahahahaha!
After reviewing my resolutions from 2011, I wonder why I even bother.  Why put myself through the hope and optimistic view that you will complete what you set out to do?  Then when you review your resolutions at the end of the year you focus on what you did not accomplish than on what you did accomplish.  Next you get very sad, depressed and have a tragic outlook on life. Thy name is FAILURE!

Well, at least that is how I feel.  I might be the only one on the planet that comes to this conclusion.

"All right Allison," you might ask.  "Are you going to have any resolutions for 2012 this year?"

Well, I think I shall try again, so that I can contiune the vicious cycle.  Here is a new set of resolutions for 2012.
  • Loose weight,
  • Exercise regularly and get fit,
  • Finish a quilt project,
  • Make one heirloom dress,
  • Keep my blog updated, and
  • Come up with some new resolutions for 2013.
