Will's First Bike

Will got his first big boy bicycle for Christmas this year. Poppaw and Mama B gave him a Lighting McQueen racing bike with a tool bag right on the front! This made him really excited. When he opened his present Christmas morning he said that "It was just what I wanted!" With all of the fun things the children received for Christmas, it took us a few days to get around to opening and putting together the new bicycle. David and Will got out the big tool box full of wrenches and screw drivers and assorted other manly items and spent a good hour in the living room putting the new racing machine together. Megan and I hid out in the basement doing girly crafts.
When everything had finally been assembled, it was time to try the bike out. We went outside on a very cold December afternoon and suited Will up. Yes, he is wearing a knit cap under his helmet, he did not want to take the cap off. He looks a little goofy, but I have to take the pictures for prosterity. David started him out slowly and before long he was pedaling all by himself.
The new bike looked like so much fun David had to try it out too! I look forward to warmer days when both Megan and Will can ride their bikes outside. Think of the races that they will have.
