Megan's 10 Year Portraits

So I have had a brilliant idea!  I was thinking that it was time to do another formal portrait session for Megan for her 10th year.  We need another portrait for the wall and I was trying to come up with something that is about her personality and character, not just the standard posed portrait.  After talking to my friend at the end of last year about ballet portraits, mainly we discussed really young girls and seniors, I thought wouldn't it be neat to have a portrait of Megan at 10 and one at 16 or 17 in the pose of a  ballerina, including the tutu, shoes, stage, and stance.  I had made a romantic tutu before Christmas and decided that it would be for her portrait.  I found a pretty matching pink leotard with a lattice cut back.  Megan has the prettiest back when she stands straight and dances.  I even made a hydrangea for her hair, although it turned out a little big and David decided to let her hold it as a prop.  The next thing we needed was a stage.  We found one, the amphitheater at South Arkansas University right when the pink azaleas were blooming.

David took Megan out to photograph her one morning.  They stayed about an hour and then he came home.  I asked, "Did you get anything wall worthy?" meaning good enough for a 16 x 20.  He said no, not really and he wanted to try another time.   I asked, "Can I see the pictures?" being very excited and not really believing that he did not get anything.  He said "No." as usual.  Of course he wanted me to wait until he picked through them then edited which ones were his favorite.  After a week of waiting, David finally showed the ballet portraits to me and WOW were they amazing!  I really could just throw something at him because of the frustration he causes me sometimes.  The pictures were so good that we have several that we cannot choose between.  I have shared them below.  We will narrow them down to a final one and have it printed and framed.  Which one would be your favorite?

Option 1 - I love her face turned down and her toe pointed.

Option 2 - I love her standing on her toes with the wind blowing her tutu and her arms and body leaning into the wind.
Option 3 - Her smile is wonderful.

Option 4 - This smile is her about to laugh/get into mischief look.
