What Have I Been Up Too?

Wonder why I haven't been posting lately? Wondering if I have given up my New Year's resolution to finish projects? No, that is not the real reason either. We are moving to Magnolia, Arkansas! David got a promotion with Albemarle and we will be moving right after school is out. We are excited! Will will finish at St. Andrews this year so it will be a good time for him to move. Megan will be starting third grade next year so we are hoping it is still good for her to move too. She usually makes friends really easily. David and I want to see a different part of the country too. We loved South Carolina, especially our friends, but it is time for a new adventure! Although I tell everyone that we will boomerang back to Orangeburg. It might be a couple of years, but we will be back.

This week David and I are looking for a house in Magnolia. We love the neighborhoods here. The people have beautiful trees and well maintained yards. They really have a strong pride of place. All of the people are really nice and friendly. We went to Sunday night service and met so many different people. They even have a lot of children at the church. Megan and Will will hopefully make some new friends before school starts. The houses in our price range need work. David wants to walk in, put our stuff down and be done. I would like to be able to do some work. I need something to do while the kids are at school in a new town. I really would like a big yard for them to play in. Several homes do have big yards, but the insides are classic 1970's. Lots of carpet, wood flooring, and paint, with a few bathroom renovations thrown in. But would the wonderful yard make up for all of that? Big decision to make.

I am going to go and visit the public school today. Very excited that Megan and Will can go to public school! I like their current school now, but hate paying for school twice. Here the public schools are good and maybe will give them a little bit more of a challenge than they're getting now.

I will keep you up to date on our progress. Oh, I will have to post our current house pictures. We will have the whole thing finished when we list which will hopefully be next week. I love my current house. Wonder how much it would cost to move it to Magnolia? LOL!
