The New House
Here are some pictures of our new house. It is so much bigger and roomer than our current house. We now have four bedrooms and 4 1/2 bathrooms. The master bedroom has two bathrooms, one I call the 1950's and the other 1980's. There are four closets in the master bedroom which is plenty of room for both David and my clothes. Will's room overlooks the back yard and Megan will have the front bedroom. She has two closets in her room, one for toys and one for her clothes. Downstairs is the formal living room which we will use as the grown-up movie watching room. The den will be the playroom for all of the children's toys. There is an extra bedroom and attached bath for family and friends who come to visit. We also have a large kitchen with plenty of cabinet space. It is yellow, but we can change that with paint! We have a lot of renovations to take care of, but I think it will come together and be a wonderful home.
The gardens are terrific! There are mature camellias, gardenias, hydrangeas, azaleas, and tea olives all around the property. There is a walled garden with a fountain on one side and a grassy area in the back that can be reached by stairs from the parking area and another from the patio. It has a really gentle slope, perfect for a slip-and-slide! We have a lot of work ahead of us in the yard. Everything is overgrown and will take some time to clean out and get to working again, but it will be beautiful.
