Packing, Packing, and More Packing
David is making fun of me. I have been packing up our house to move and every day he comes home to another pile of boxes. I told him that it takes time to pack an entire household, do the chores, take care of the kids, and have some social time, but I don't know if he understands my position. My goal is to have our entire house packed up the day before we close on the new house. I want to just sleep on a mattress at night, have a set of towels hanging up in the bathroom and enough food to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in the refrigerator. I think that I might achieve my goal. I am about 85% compete in packing, this does not include the outside storage building and children's toys. I have also gone through and purged. Although when we get to the new house I think that I will be purging more. Some of my items just will not match the new house's style. I am OK with that. It just means we can get new stuff!
David's grandparents in Atlanta have already given us some of their furniture. We got the following items:
- Dinnig room table and 6 chairs,
- China cabient,
- Buffet,
- Pine full bed,
- Pine nightstand,
- Pine dresser,
- Twin bed,
- Matching cabinet and chest of drawers,
- A corner desk,
- Miscellanous boxes full of treasures that I am not allowed to open until we move, and
- A croquet set.
